During the summer 2011 Kainuu Orienteering Week (KOW) made a survey about International marketing of KOW. There was a lottery for those who filled in the survey. The prize of lottery was travel package to Kainuu Orienteering Week 2012 in Kajaani. Travel package included participation fees and accommodation (á 650 €).
Lottery winner is Ali Robertson from Scotland!

 Kainuu Orienteering Week 2012 will offer you the best ever terrain of our area!
Joutenlampi area is a vast sand based esker and hill terrain; very easy to run thanks to low under vegetation in forrest terrain. The area includes both easier and very challenging parts for orienteering. Also the hight variations are moderate.
